Energy Tracker

See how your sleep, movement, and breaks actually ripple into your mood and thinking — and which practices matter most for you.

You’ve been putting effort into physical practices and wondering if they’re really making a difference. Maybe you can feel something shifting, but you can’t quite see the pattern. This tracker lets you spot the connections between what you do with your body and how your mind and emotions respond — so you’re not guessing anymore.

The Micro-practice: For one week, you’ll rate your physical energy, emotional state, and mental clarity at three points during the day, plus note what you actually did. Then you’ll spot your personal patterns.

How:

  1. Each day at 9am, midday, and 5pm, rate your physical energy on a simple 1–5 scale (1 = depleted, 5 = energised).
  2. At the same three times, rate your emotional state (1 = reactive and overwhelmed, 5 = calm and resourced) and your mental clarity (1 = foggy, 5 = sharp).
  3. Each evening, jot down what you actually did that day — sleep quality the night before, any movement, breaks you took, what you ate.
  4. At the end of the week, look for your patterns. When you slept well, did your focus improve? When you moved, did your mood steady? Which practices create the biggest ripple effects for you?
  5. Use what you discover to protect those practices — the ones that affect everything else.

Time: 2 minutes per check-in, 15 minutes for end-of-week review.

When: Once, for a full week. Then repeat quarterly to see if your patterns shift.

Why this works: Your body, emotions, and thinking aren’t separate things — they’re completely interconnected. Research shows that sleep quality predicts your focus, movement steadies your mood, good nutrition affects how you handle stress. But the exact pattern is personal to you. This isn’t about forcing yourself into someone else’s system. It’s about building evidence from your own life so you can invest your limited energy where it actually pays off across all your domains. You become the expert on you.
